US Monthly GDP Dropped in September

– Durham, NH – October 3rd 2008 – Economic research firm e-forecasting.com today announced that their flash estimate of US monthly GDP dropped in September by 1.8%.
Following a flat performance with a reading of 0 percent in August, the real-time monthly GDP, expressed at seasonally adjusted annual rates in chained 2000 prices, fell 1.8 percent in September to $11,715.7 billion.
In a note to clients, CEO Maria Simos noted, “With this major drop in GDP for September, it nearly negated the gains discovered in August. For the third quarter, we estimate zero growth of GDP.”
